Execution of a Baluch prisoner in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan

According to Hale Vash/Sahargah, on Wednesday, October 16, 1404, the death sentence of a Baloch prisoner who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges was carried out in Isfahan's Dastgerd Prison.

The identity of this executed Baloch prisoner; "Massoud Maleki (Malkzehi)", 33 years old, son of Mohammad, from Balochistan and resident of Shahr-e-Reza County, Isfahan Province, has been confirmed by Hal-e-Vash.

According to current sources: “Massoud had been arrested in Isfahan in 2018 on drug charges and sentenced to death, and was hanged in Isfahan prison yesterday, Wednesday. Today, his body was transferred to Zahedan and buried in the city’s cemetery.”

According to the reports of the highest human rights organizations, Baloch citizens have the highest execution rate in Iran, while the population of this oppressed minority is about five to six percent of the country's population, and most of those executed are under drug-related charges and from the weaker sections of the society who are dependent. One or more large families have been in charge.
