According to Hale Vash, yesterday, Thursday, January 17, 1403, a citizen reported that his car was shot at and chased by armed men with their heads and faces covered on the Kalpurgan-Aspich road in Saravan city. He said that the men, who introduced themselves as members of the IRGC Intelligence, fled the scene after causing heavy financial damage to the car.
In an interview with Halash, the citizen explained: "At 10 am on the road from Kalpurgan to Aspic, before reaching the crossroads of Nagan village, armed men with their heads and faces covered and in civilian clothes opened fire on my car, which is a Peugeot 405. Fearing these people, who I suspected were thieves, I quickly drove to the village of Hitok near Aspic. These people chased me until I was near the village and shot both tires of my car. After stopping, they entered the car, looked in the trunk, and asked, "Why did you run away?"
He continued: "I told them that you had your head and face covered and were in civilian clothes. I thought they were armed robbers; which organization are you from? They claimed to be from the IRGC intelligence. When I asked them why you were shooting without stopping and with your head and face covered, they quickly fled the scene. Their car was a Peugeot 405 with handwritten license plates."
The citizen added: "My car was severely damaged; two tires, the gas tank, and the car's engine were damaged by the shooting, and about 70 million tomans in damage was caused."
