According to Halesh/Sahargah today, Wednesday, December 14, 1403, the death sentence of at least one Baloch prisoner, who was previously sentenced to retribution (execution) for the charge of murder, was executed in Zahedan Central Prison.
The identity of this Baloch prisoner, "Mahdi Hossein Zaei", about 26 years old, the son of Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Mehrestan city, has been verified by Hale Vash.
According to current sources: "Mahdi was arrested in Saravan about four years ago on charges of murder and was sentenced to death by the criminal court and was imprisoned in Saravan prison. "The execution has been postponed."
Based on the documentation of human rights organizations, Baloch citizens have the highest number of executions in Iran, while the population of this oppressed minority is only 5-6% of the total population of the country. Most of the Baloch executed for drug-related charges are from the weaker sections of the society, who are responsible for supporting one or more large families of their relatives.
